I’m flattered you landed here, welcome!
My name is Phuong. I started this blog in 2013, initially to share my music. Along side with a day job in Marketing, I dedicated my free time to teach music, perform, organize art shows and festivals and write about severals aspects of Music (music theory, learning, psychology, etc.).
I moved to Dallas, Texas in 2015 to pursue grad school in Business Analytics and Arts Management. I worked in different art organizations (museum, theater, art business council) and started merging my interest in Arts with Data Analytics. During that period, I explored different angles of Arts management as a career, and occasionally shared about life abroad.
Since 2018, I transited to work in tech, mainly focus on Business to Business products. Fast forward today, I’m doing Growth marketing for an early stage fintech startup (that Silicon Valley thing). Outside of work, I’ve been helping CODAME – a nonprofit bridging the intersection of Technology and Arts, bringing the community together.
I’m one of those people who believe that you don’t have to have be a sole specialist to bring values to the table. Skills wise, I adopt the mindset of a T-shaped marketer to my own personal life: stay broad, but be great at a few things (Always work in progress, so check back in with me every few weeks!). Wherever my curiosity extends to, I embrace it. This blog will continue to house my lifelong learning, most likely around different art forms that stay dear to my heart, with an insatiable thirst for variety.
When not playing music or scouring around for art events, music festivals, community meetups, I go hiking, dancing, sailing, eating desserts and lowkey exercising so I can enjoy eating dessert even more.
